19: Five Alive

Our friends, Gina & Chris, have entrusted us with their kids while they took a weekend, mid-week, on the Izu Peninsula.  Yesterday, all five had swimming lessons, in four successive sessions!  So, we cycled a kid or two in the water, the other(s) out and into the shower.  Eric got session four and one boy (Stefan).  He helped Dougie get in/out of the shower in a timely fashion.  It would have been awesome to have gotten a picture of them yesterday, but I was sure that I would start losing them if I did not pay full attention.  I was just not willing to do that...

All five kids had their lessons, took showers, one went to speech therapy and did homework on top of the swimming.  The "younger" ones (all but Stefan) were fed and in bed by 7:15.  I think Gavin made it to 7:15:23 before falling soundly asleep!  Ian kept calling, "Gavin!  Gavin!"  No response!  Even the "big kids" (Dougie & Lindsey) fell asleep in short order and did not monkey around.  They were TIRED!!!  Let's see if that same magic is at work tonight!

No one woke up extremely early, but early enough that all were dressed, fed, notes/snacks/sticks given before the bus got here!  The garbage even got collected!  And, as you can see above, all are alive, smiley and in good repair!

Let's see if we can have a repeat...
