We walked from the Hardy Barracks up to the Embassy. On the way we passed these huge, interesting lights - spotlights perhaps? Maybe they just glow in colorful orbs at night? Don't know...
After our appointments were done, I told Eric of my surprise plan - to go to Cycle Mode International 2012!!! It was a huge convention center with four of their halls FILLED with bicycles, parts, accessories, tracks for trials, BMX ramps, kids riding areas, BMX riding areas and a ton of biking fanatics! It was Eric's Utopia!
We were greeted by the Pinarello Booth and their Pinayellow (Tour de France) display. Awesome!
Pinarello also had some Stefan sized bikes on display. Setting the bar high...
A beautiful vintage Pinarello bike
Colnago boasted their "Asian Edition"
And some beautiful paint jobs.
LOOK!!!
We lost Dougie about this time - found him "trying out" some really expensive Campagnolo parts...
Brooks had a booth full of leather and copper - it made you really want to have the World Traveller saddle on your bike!
Dougie & Ian both tried out the leather double sprung saddle stool - I think they want one!
Tommasini frames...
Framed these faces so well!
Soma Fabrications handlebars "held" Eric's attention...
And this guy held mine!
Chris King had a booth that was fully interactive - you could touch, spin, and see their components.
Eric showed Ian the finer things in life at the Neat-O Nitto booth.
They even had food vendors there - I chose NOT to get this one... For Eric's sake...
The day ended with the boys riding bikes and Eric making a last sweep of the floor, tagging his own personal Best In Shows, left to a separate post.
