Twenty Four and On The Floor

Dinner at Kappa Sushi was a fun treat - can you see the shinkansen that brought our special order up?  The Shiro Shinkansen (white bullet train) is not as easy to see as the Midori Shinkansen (green bullet train).  The two plates of salmon with sliced onion and avocado are on the train right below the touch screen menu and above the sushi belt.  I think you can see why the kids LOVE Kappa Sushi!

After sushi, we went to Wreck It Ralph.  I must say, it was really well done.  Very original - and only sent one of my kids begging to go home...  The other two seemed to enjoy it a lot!  Even Eric liked it :)

This capped off a day of "house work":

Ian's room became the "Play Room", still in transit...

Stefan & Dougie's room became "The Room" - bunk beds on one side...

Ian's "Big Boy" bed and dresser on the other.  He was all for it.   We pulled the railing off his crib (he can still grow about 4 inches before he is taller than the bed...). Then, he later reminded us he was not a "big boy" - he was still a "little boy".  Daddy is a big boy...

By the time bedtime came around, he started to cry, "I need to go to bed in MY room - not in Stefan's room!"  Apparently Dougie has no room...  The whole, "your bed is in this room now" was followed up with, "I need the other part!" (the railing...).  We pulled the spare mattress (the jumping mattress) out from under the bed in case he fell out.

I was not enormously surprised to find this when I went in tonight:

For a closer look at the little "blob" on the floor, wedged between mattresses...

That would be our "little boy"...  maybe he needed to be closer to the Yuck-Bucket?  The barf bucket is there due to coughing/phlegm fits leading to some linen/PJ changes of late.  He has even made his way to the loo... .

I at least expected he might just settle on the lower mattress.  But the floor?!?  Maybe he really is more Japanese than we give him credit for!
